Walk-Ons is one of the newer bars in the area, but it's already one of the best! To start, the interior is very modern and has beautiful brick walls and several TVs. The service is friendly and efficient and you can expect your order to come out quickly. The food is fantastic, and after a night of bar hopping around Zachary, you can't go wrong with ordering the Bistreaux's Hangover Burger, which is a burger with bacon and egg - a real hangover cure. The Jalapeno Jack Burger is a spicy option, with jalapeno poppers right on the burger! We always pair our food with a side of their generously cut waffle fries. If you're a seafood fan, try the shrimp platter - you won't regret it!

For the finest Mexican cuisine in the neighborhood, head on over to El Agave on Main Street. El Agave is truly authentic Mexican food, where everything is house made and fresh. The salsas in particular are delicious and exactly how salsa should be! The bean dip and guacamole are also made in-house and are the best we've had. The bean burritos and veggie quesadillas are two of our favorite menu items, and paired with rice and a side of chips and your choice of dip, they make a satisfying meal. In addition to some of the best Mexican food, they also have a few American options, like Philly cheese steak and burgers as well as soups and a kid's menu that includes cheese pizza.

MJ's Cafe is Baton Rouge's destination for fresh food. This is a cozy little vegetarian cafe with a casual and quiet atmosphere and food made with fresh ingredients, so many menu options changes with the season. The service is very friendly and if you have any special requests, they'll happily do their best to accommodate you. As far as their delicious menu, their cauliflower soup is delicious, and the black bean salad and southwestern sandwich are our favorites. The pesto salad is another popular choice, and their daily soup menu always offers several choices. For dessert, they have fresh, seasonal treats but we recommend if they have it is the vanilla ice cream with pumpkin brittle topped with whipped cream!

Teddy's Juke Joint is a dive bar over in Zachary on Old Scenic Hwy. Teddy's is a dive bar where you can relax with a group of friend and enjoy cold drinks and hot food. The interior is dark with most of the illumination coming from ambient string lighting throughout the bar. Teddy's has live music often, and when they don't you can bet there's a great juke box! There's a couple of TVs as well so you'll enjoy that if you're stopping by on game day. To eat, the catfish sandwich and jalapeño poppers are a couple of our favorites! They also have burgers, wings, fries, potato salad, and onion rings. All the food is made in house and it's delicious. You can even order your food for pick up and enjoy their menu even if you don't have time to stay!
