Baton Rouge Dining

Olive or Twist

Olive or Twist is cocktail bar and restaurant that's famous for their outstanding drinks. The cocktails at Olive or Twist are always hand crafted with the freshest ingredients; our favorites are the whiskey based cocktails like the Whiskey Smash or Whiskey Sour! To eat, they also have lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch menus that will blow you away. The Cajun meat pies, Poutine fries, and house made spinach-avocado dip are a few our our favorites for lunch or dinner, while the bananas foster French toast is our go-to at brunch! For dessert, try the pecan pie cannolis! Like the drinks, all of their food is made from scratch with the freshest ingredients for fresh, full flavor in every bite!

Radio Bar

Radio Bar is a small bar with a lot to offer! Although the bar itself isn't big, their beer menu certainly is! There's plenty of brews to choose from, and their cocktail menu is impressive as well! They offer classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned or the Sazerac, but the also have a fresh menu of seasonal drinks as well. You can always enjoy something new at Radio! They don't serve food, but on the first Sunday of each month they have Free Food Sundays, where local establishments will provide food that Radio Bar patrons can enjoy for free! There's plenty to do here for fun as well, including ping pong, darts, and shuffle board! Don't miss out on this Baton Rouge classic!

The Cove

The Cove is famous for their drink selection, offering the largest whiskey selection in all of Louisiana. The Cove offers more than 900 whiskeys and more than 600 beers - Wow! They offer all sorts of cocktails from before, during, and after prohibition. For beer tasting, head to the draft room, where you can also play a game of pool or darts! The drink menu is more than 50 pages, so you'll have plenty to choose from, but if you're feeling overwhelmed the knowledgeable bar tenders can guide you in the right direction and help you find a drink you'll enjoy! Between the different beer and whiskey, you could have a different drink if you stopped by The Cove every day for 4 years and have a different drink every night! You can't beat that!

Hayride Scandal

When it comes to cocktail bars, Hayride Scandal is a Baton Rouge classic that's worth mentioning! The bar has a prohibition tavern vibe that you can see in the classic cocktail menu and the unique furniture and the gorgeous antique chandelier! You'll feel like you've stepped back in time, other than the TV, of course. There's old movie posters, an ornate mirror, and other unique decor, including a very distinguished portrait of Bill Murray. Hayride Scandal is a perfect place to take a date for drinks or relax with a classic or custom cocktail. They don't serve food, but they do offer snacks and appetizers. This is one of our favorite bars and we think you'll love it too, so make time to stop in and have a drink!
